KIplatz is an AI that belongs to a community. Here you can read what bothers us about the well-known systems and what we do differently.

Guessing, inventing, answering with outdated facts

The big AI providers have achieved great things, but also a lot that bothers us. Their systems answer convincingly even when they do not know something. They guess, invent details or fall back on old knowledge instead of checking current information, and they rarely show where an answer comes from.

What happens to our questions is decided by corporations behind closed doors. At the same time, huge data centres keep growing. They swallow energy, money and hardware.

The other way

The AI researches, names its sources and says honestly when something is uncertain. Personal data stays on your device. If you need a file while out and about that sits on the PC at home, you fetch it to your phone without a cloud, as described under Your files from anywhere.

With us you bring in suggestions, report errors, write your own skills and build along. Whoever joins in has a say. We start in the German-speaking region: Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

Step by step, this creates an independent AI that Philipp is responsible for and that grows together with its community. There is no corporation behind it, and there is neither advertising nor trading in data.
