Morning briefing
Once a day, at the time you choose: a new conversation with the weather for your town and the headlines, read aloud if you like.
Switching on under Settings
- Click “Einstellungen” (settings) on the left and scroll to the section “Morgenbericht” (morning briefing).
- Switch on “Jeden Tag Wetter und Schlagzeilen als neues Gespräch” (every day weather and headlines as a new conversation).
- Set the time next to “Um” (at). The default is 07:00.
- Enter your town next to “Ort” (place), for example Gmunden.
- Leave “Vorlesen” (read aloud) on if you want to hear it, and click “Speichern” (save).
Tip
“Jetzt erstellen” (create now) makes it straight away, to try it out. If you gave your town at the first start, it is already in the field.
From the greeting to the last headline

Clicking the link opens the article in your browser. Which news sites appear depends on the country of your town: Austria, Germany or Switzerland. All of them can be read freely, with no paywall.
When it arrives
The program has to be running; hidden next to the clock is enough. If your PC is still off at the chosen time, it is created as soon as KIplatz is running that day. There is one per day. If you enter a new town, KIplatz makes today's briefing again straight away.
Good to know
Your PC fetches the weather and headlines itself. None of it goes to the community, and it costs no credits. The program leaves your calendar alone; it does not read any appointments.
