Glossary from A to Z

Here are the words that keep coming up in the wiki and in the program, each explained in one sentence. If one of them appears on another page, it leads you here the first time.

Ask your home: You ask for a file on your phone, your PC at home searches your folders and sends it to your phone encrypted, without a cloud.
Credits: Recognition for work on the community: priority for answers, no money, cannot be bought or paid out.
Deepen: One PC writes a summary with questions and answers for a section, a second PC checks it.
Exam: Every night a PC of the community puts the same test questions to KIplatz; what is right is counted.
Heat brake: If the graphics card reaches 85 °C, your PC pauses for 60 seconds before it goes on working for the community.
House rules: The rules for everyone at KIplatz: in the forum, in the workshop and in the program.
Kill switch: Our button for emergencies: once it is pressed, the server stops handing out questions and jobs, and every device answers on its own.
Memory: What the program remembers about you, only with your consent and only on your own device.
Morning briefing: Once a day the weather for your place and 5 headlines, read aloud if you like.
My AI: Your own AI: you tap what you need it for, how it should answer and what it must never do; that becomes a skill that applies in every conversation.
Platzl: The place to talk, at forum.kiplatz.at.
Sandbox: A separate community service to try things out for people who build along, with throwaway data instead of real data.
Section: A piece of text from a source with a clear licence, the smallest unit of shared knowledge.
Shared knowledge: All sections from sources with a clear licence and everything members saved for everyone; the AI takes its excerpts from here.
Skill: A small folder with a text file that says, in everyday language, how KIplatz does a particular task.
Slice: A part of the shared knowledge that is stored three times on members' devices instead of only on the server.
Workshop: The place to build along, at werkstatt.kiplatz.at: reports, ideas, skills.
