Why should I join?
Because you get an AI that belongs to you and collects nothing about you, and because your computer does something useful with it while you do not need it. There is no money in it, and we say that right at the start.
Priority for answers
Whoever shares computing power or helps collects credits. Credits are a number in your account, nothing more. When several members ask at the same time, the one with more credits goes first; someone with none still gets a turn, just later. Credits can be given away but neither bought nor sold. In the program you see every day what your device did and what the network achieved together.
An AI that remembers only what you tell it
KIplatz remembers nothing on its own. If you say "remember that I am left-handed", that goes into a file on your device, and only your device hands it to the model before each question. "Forget that" deletes it again without the question going anywhere. Files and images you drag into a conversation stay on the device as well.
Skills: rules KIplatz follows for you
A skill is a text file with rules, for example "answer in short sentences". You write your own skills, swap them with others and fetch some from the network; the format is SKILL.md, the same as Claude and ChatGPT use, and importing from there works. Skills are text, never programs; the house rules check each one before it becomes visible.
Things that help day to day
- The morning briefing: once a day the weather for your place and 5 headlines, read aloud if you like.
- Ctrl + Space: ask about selected text in any program, without copying.
- Speaking instead of typing: the microphone runs only between two clicks, the audio stays on the device.
- Ask about the screen: KIplatz sees what you see, when you explicitly want it to.
- The phone asks the same community through a web page, with no app store and no account at a corporation.
Here you are somebody
Whatever bothers you about an AI, you report with one click, and the report reaches a person. The leaderboard shows who computed for others, under the name you give your device. Once the forum is open, you have groups, meetings and people there who have the same questions.
Credits are recognition
Credits are a number in your account: priority for answers and recognition, not money, not crypto, no payout. We promise nothing we cannot keep.
Checked on 21 September 2026 against build 2026-09-20g: credits and priority, memory with consent, skills with import, morning briefing, Ctrl + Space, speaking, asking about the screen, phone page, reporting, leaderboard are built. Forum and groups are being set up. The program speaks German for now.
