Leave and remove the program
You can leave KIplatz at any time, in a few clicks. Leaving, removing and deleting are 3 separate steps. The table shows which button deletes what and what stays with you.

Careful
Leave first and remove KIplatz only afterwards. Without the window, the button for leaving no longer exists.
Leave the community
- In the left bar, open “Meine Community”.
- If you want to look first, click “Was der Server über dieses Gerät weiß” (what the server knows about this device) in the card “Deine Daten am Server” (your data on the server).
- Click “Aus der Community austreten” (leave the community) and confirm the question.
After that, nothing about your PC is stored on the server any more. It no longer works for others, the slices of the shared storage on your disk are deleted, and your device name also disappears from “Fehler der Woche” (mistake of the week). KIplatz itself keeps running on your PC.
Remove it from your PC
- In the left bar, open “Einstellungen”.
- In the card “Programm entfernen” (remove program), click “Vom Rechner entfernen …” (remove from this computer) and confirm.
- The window closes by itself.
With the program files go the shortcuts on the desktop and in the Start menu and the entry in the list of apps in Windows.
Good to know
Your conversations stay where they are, even after removing. Where they are is shown beforehand by “Datenordner öffnen” (open data folder) on the same page. If you want to get rid of them too, delete that folder yourself afterwards.
Delete the account
You find the item “Konto löschen” (delete account) in the menu at the top right. For safety, you briefly confirm at sign-in which account it is, and then type the word “löschen” (delete). After that it is gone, and you get a confirmation by email. What you wrote stays without your name, so that the knowledge is kept for everyone; if you want something gone completely, delete it yourself first.
